Echos of Darkness pt.1 Corruption

The transport decended out of the atmosphere and into the many entertwining traffic of Couracant. Its massive frame weaved in and out as passing skycars swerved to avoid them, lights flashing and horns honking as they did. Finally, the ship broke through a line of tall buildings and their destination landing pad came into full view. They slowed their rate of speed and lowered the landing struts as they sat the ship down ever so lightly. Their came a *HISS* as the landing struts compressed upon their shocks and a low hum as the engine died.

There was a wooshing sound as the air lock broke. Twin columns of steam erupted from the belly and the boarding ramp began to lower. Slowly, Drake began to walk down the ramp as a breeze rushed him, billowing his black cloak out behind him like a war worn flag.

Drake was walking down the ramp to the platform below, his cloak fluttering in the freeze as he walked. His Master, Draco Korr, ordered him to this planet of Couracant nut did not give sufficent orders to fully satisfy him on his mission. He slowly reached the the bottom of the ramp and stepped onto the platform and shrugged as he didn't know what to do as hewaited on orders. He put his hands in his cloak pockets and used the Force to lift his hood up and over his head, cloaking his face from view and in shadows.

"Chilly day out, isn't Drake." Drake muttered to himself to keep him from dying from boredom.

"Yes, yes it his Mr. Marsee. I find it by drinking some alchoalic beverages, that it seems to warm me up." Drake replied to himself as he gave a little chuckle.

"You finally did it Drake, ol' buddy. You finally went off the deep end, and now you are offically talking to yourself and answering yourself as well." Drake continued on with the conversation with himself s he waited on the platform.

The sound of an approaching engine slowly filled Drake's ears as another transport nestled in beside Drake's transport. After a few minutes, the ramp of the newly arrived ship still hadn't lowered. Sky traffic was still buzzing loudly over head.

Drake gave a curious look at th ship and then gently rested his hand on his saber, just incase the unexpected happened. His cloak fell to his side as the quiet breeze ended, and the traffic still went flying by. He walked a little closer to the ship as he began to talk to himself again, "No Drake, don't do it. It could be anyone.... or thing!"

"Nonsense, it is probably just another Brother or Sister from the Dark Brotherhood." Drake muttered to himself again.

Upon a closer inspection of the new ship, he located the ship's coding and he suddenly realized that this was the unregistered transport that was delivering the weapons of mass destruction. His first thought was could it really be this easy? The objective of the mission just falling into his lap like this?.

Drake looks at the ship and said outloud, "HA! This is so easy, no wonder Draco sent me on this mission." Drake attempts to creep up to the ship and plant the explosives to destroy the ship as ordered.

You begin to make your way toward the ship. Half way there, you feel a presence from behind. You turn and see a human male appear through a doorway. This has to be the buyer coming to collect his new merchandise. Upon seeing you, the man appears shocked. He then turns and flees back into the building. Discovering the identity of the buyer is also one of your objectives. What do you do? Chase the man or destroy the ship?

Drake began to look at the ship and then back at the buyer now fleeing into the building, Drake scratches his head as he continues to look back and forth. "Well, I can only do one thing right now" Drake says to himself as he attempts to creep up next to the ship, and plant explosives on it.

While moving toward the ship, it gets engulfed by flames and explodes out of no where, Drake's transport then explodes as well shortly after. Heat stings your eyes and nips at your clothes and flesh as your lifted and thrown backwards. You land with a thud and skid to a halt. You stand and look at the two ships, both just big balls of flames now. Well, no need to destroy the ship now. But now your stranded here.

Drake stands there, stranded on the platform, as he watches the two ships begin to burn to a crisp. He took in a big and long sigh as he just stood there with his hands in his cloak pockets, and a snarl on his face.

"I just had new seats installed on that thing too!" Drake screammed out a little as he began to turn in circles and wondering what his new plans should be.

"I wouldn't mind going and borrowing a new ship from a nearby ship-yard." Drake said sarcasticly as he continued tot hink about what he should do next.

Drake stands there for a moment and then looks at the open door exiting the platform and leading into a building, and then smiles his devious grin. He then quickly darts for the door and runs over the metal platform and you can hear the clanking as his boots hit the platform while he is making his way to the door. He reaches the door and slings it open and runs inside.

You rush through the door hoping to catch the fleeing buyer. You have lost valueable time trying to set charges on the ship, but then again, you didn't know it was going to explode. Which reminds you, why DID it explode? You enter the building and find yourself racing down a long luxurious hallway. Lighting is installed up high casting low shadows, exoensive marble flooring, elustrious tapistry on the walls and rare furniture and collectibles were flanking on both sides of the hallway. Up ahead, you see a left turn in the hallway. You round the corner, cloak still grazing lightly upon the floor and boots rapping on the floor quickly.

You are greeted by two guards, lightly armored and armed with small blasters. They kneel to steady their aim and both fire.

The guards roll for attack. I'll roll two D-20, one for each. They have no bonuses.

Drake sees the two lightly armored gaurds up ahead with there blasters in hand trying to fire at him. Drake tries to dodge by rolling to one side of the hallway and then tries to arm himself with his saber, and then try to deflect further blaster fire.

OOC- that was fine. I should remind you though to keep an eye on your stat sheet, there may be other methods to take that will increase your chances of staying safe. You don't have the block ability yet so you will have to -2 to your roll because you are attempting something you don't know how to do.

Ok, roll 1D20 plus the number on your reflex def. This is to see if you roll away safely.

Okay, My reflex Defense Is 13

OOC- I'm sorry dude. You have a score on all defense so no roll is needed. It is only needed if it has a + or - and a number. Their attacks need to equal or beat your def. It should really go like this.

You tuck and roll to your right side, grabbing your Lightsaber as you do. You manage to dodge the first bolt and it connects with the wall behind you, leaving a charred and smoking hole. The second however hits you and does some damage. I will roll the weapons specified damage dice and the result will be how much damage you take.

The damage die for the blaster pistol is 1D4. The number rolled will be how much H.P. you will need to remove from your character.

A total of three points needs to be taken away from your health, (just record your hp on a piece of paper). Your turn now. But remember, you can only attack one of them right now until you get more experience.

Drake quickly recoils from the blaster shot and is ready to attack. Drake tries makes an attempt to Force Jump to the closet armored gaurd, and bring his saber into its chest.

Sadly, being a sith or Jedi in training, you cannot use any force powers yet. At every even level you gain, (2,4,6,8 etc.) you can learn a new feat. Choosing the Force Training Feat. will allow you to gain force powers. You add 1 for learning the feat. and 1 for every bonus to you wisdom modifier. For instance, if your wisdom and wisdom modifier is 11/+1, you will gain one force power for taking the Force Training Feat., and 1 additional for the +1 on your wisdom. Learning a total of two force powers. You can choose this feat. when leveling up to a level 2 since it is an even numbered level. The good news is, is that you can choose it again at 4th level and stack the effect. This will allow you to gain more powers. Also, through leveling up, if your wisdom goes up this changing your modifier, this will gain you more powers as well. I know this is all a bit confusing, but with a little time and training, you will learn and it will become easy. Just to inform you, you will reach level two at 1,000 exp. points.

You will then need to roll 1D20+ your melée attack score. If you equal or beat the guards reflex def. You hit him.
